Art nouveau staircase

Photo: Pinterest

If you have been following European Chic for a while you now that I adore staircases - espcially spiral staircases. A couple years I went to Brussels which is only 90 minutes by train from Paris and visited the Horta museum which was amazing. Ever since I have been thinking of featuring the staircase from the museum because I like its organic and graceful lines.

Interiors from Belgium

Photo: Pinterest

I found this beautiful composition of Belgian interiors. The colours are muted - perfect to see on a cold winter day. The bathroom sink nook is adorable - I want one.

Fleamarket style

The lovely home of a Belgian couple devoted to fleamarketing. I especially like the mirror in the second image, the bust, and small sofa and all doors in this house.

Welcome also to the new European Chic followers. Only a few more to go to reach the magical number of 100! And as always your comments are very much appreciated. They make blogging ever so much more fun!

Converted mirror factory

There is an Alice in Wonderland quality to it when you can say that you live in a former mirror factory, isn't there? Today this charming house is a Bed & Breakfast in Brussels, Belgium.
I am smitten by the large collection of earthware and glasses. It is never too late to get started I suppose. What do you like about this house?

The address:
Chambre en ville, 19, rue de Londres, 1050 Bruxelles, Belgium

Collector's envy

This house makes me happy. Great colours and full of cool knickknacks. The house belongs to an artist (as if you couldn't tell) and it feels very 'real', not styled by a professional stylist unlike so many houses in photo spreads these days, sadly.
Which one is your favourite room? I love the dining room, the huge mirror, the chandelier, the floor and especially the blue paint.

Mid-century in happy colours

Is it by pure chance that every time I stumble upon a Belgian flat I a) instantly fall in love with it and b) the flat is always colourful and happy?
This vintage flat is gorgeous. I have major chair envy, I mean look at all these great chairs!

Belgian colours

What a bright and colourful flat in Anvers, Belgium! The whole place oozes fun - but in a stylish way. The painted walls throughout the flat are original commissioned art. How cool is that?
