If you like experimental short films as much as I do I can warmly recommend `Je criais contre la vie. Ou pour elle' (2009). The ten minute short film was inspired by a 19th century engraving and is beautifully designed. It is set in a forest where a herd of deer turns against the dogs that have been chasing them and the world around them starts to change.

Playful industrial chic
Photo: Marie Claire Maison
Lots of books, a cool penchant lamp AND an indoor swing. What more can you want? I am really into industrial chic/loft style at the moment.

Design your own dog
I came across these adorable knitted dogs while I was reading the Guardian and just had to share them with you. Don't they all have such a personality? I wished they had also knitted a Spanish Water dog.
Which dog do you like best?

This post is in memory of my friend K.s dog T. who passed away a few days ago.
And here is a link to the book 'Best in Show' from where the photos were taken.

French Impressions II
Let's walk around my home town today!
You think Paris 'talks to you'? Join the club, I think so, too, and I collect the words for you.
The lovely New York-based and Paris-obsessed Carol Gillott paints delicate watercolour paintings of Paris which she generously allowed me to share with you.

Five rooms in Barcelona
The5Rooms Barcelona is a trendy design hotel with originally five rooms (and now nine rooms and three suites) within walking distance of Plaça de Catalunya and Las Ramblas. It has been highly recommended to me by a friend who tries to stay in a different room each time as they are individually designed. If you have stayed in the hotel I'd be curious to know your thoughts.
