Snow in Barcelona

Disclaimer, there is no snow in Barcelona at the moment as far as I am aware but the freezing cold in our part of the world makes me think of moving south until I realised that it may well be cold in Southern Europe, too. Must move further south, say Asutralia or India.

Black' n' white dining room

A white dining room with a black ceiling is such a great idea for a loft-like space. Visually, it makes the room feel more cosy. I am all for contrasts to keep a space interesting.

Have you tried to paint your ceiling a different colour? If so which colour? What about hot pink for a hallway?

Eclectic garden flat

Pretty bold wallpaper here, eh? Actually, pretty bold choices everywhere. I like the hallway with the different wallpapers and tightly packed gallery wall. And, of course, the bath tub with the claws.

Hope it is warmer where ever you live - we are having a bit of a cold spell here at the moment.

Roccoco wall decor

This wall decor is crazy enough to intrigue me. The rich dark brown walls contrasts nicely with the white and blue china and silver mirror and sconces. I also find the contrast between the formal symmetry and asymmetry very skilfully executed.

Art nouveau staircase

If you have been following European Chic for a while you now that I adore staircases - espcially spiral staircases. A couple years I went to Brussels which is only 90 minutes by train from Paris and visited the Horta museum which was amazing. Ever since I have been thinking of featuring the staircase from the museum because I like its organic and graceful lines. 

Danish cottage

Isn't this little weekend cottage in Denmark adorable? It feels so real! I want a little vase with 'Skurepulver' written on it on my kitchen sink. I like the corner windows because they make the little cottage light and airy.
