Isn't this little weekend cottage in Denmark adorable? It feels so real! I want a little vase with 'Skurepulver' written on it on my kitchen sink. I like the corner windows because they make the little cottage light and airy.
This is one of the words that shows the close linguistic relationship between Danish/Norwegian/Swedish and English:)
skure = scour pulver = powder
One of those basic words which must have existed from way back.
I had already bookmarked your page, Anna, and happened to stop by today looking for something else. Love especially, the photo from the livingroom with lots of frames on the wall, sofa, table and chair, colors on cushions and fabrics!
Did you know what skurepulver is?

This cottage is absolutely gorgeous! Beautiful and functional interiors, but with lots of rustic charm.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes, Alex.
I would love to have a Danish cottage like this as the interior designs are so stunning.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely lovely. I can see myself spending a quiet summer there, reading, baking, going for walks...
