Rockin`

My friend S. and myself went to a design fleamarket the other day. There was great stuff and if it hadn´t rained I would have taken lots of photos to share with you. S., who hails originally from California, asked me why Europeans don´t have rocking chairs. So I did some research and, yes, most rocking chairs are indeed not ´European´ (like the Charles and Ray Eames RAR rocking chair from 1950) or too ´grandfatherly´.
Here are a few rocking chairs I like.

This rocker genenrates energy which lights the attached lamp. The designer Rochus Jacob won a prize for his innovative design.

Everything pretty for the kitchen and table

All photos: Summerill & Bishop

I like (ok, I lurve) pretty yet simple tableware, serveware and kitchenware from Summerill & Bishop in the UK and I hope you, too. This is opening exciting new venues for decorating relaxed tabletops. Their shop in Notting Hill is lovely and worth checking out, but luckily you can also order online.

Your own gallery

Ever been envious of the beautiful gallery girls with their effortless style and A-list contacts (or so it seems)? Create your very own gallery at home. It creates an interesting focus in your room and can be easily changed.
