French Impressions III

 Join me in Auvergne in the massif central today! The black stones you see in these photos are typically used for the architecture of Clermont Ferrand in Auvergne. If the weather had been better I would have taken photos of the countryside which reminds of Tuscany with its sloping hills.

 I am always curious what is behind these medieval portals....

Converted country school

 I feel relaxed just looking at this clutter-free house. It is an country old school that has been converted into a 400 squaremeter house by a designer (her) and artist (him) couple.

I dig the neutral decor with pops of colour and rooms that seem to flow into one another.

Edgy Victorian pad

A clean and modern home in London with a small dosis of feminine and edgy. The owner is a stylist (anything else would have been unfair for us mortals). The walk closet is a dream come true, with just enough girlishness. So is the edgy kitchen with the shiny red retro fridge. The skulls in the decor - for example the paining in the living room or the small Mexican skulls on the buffet - add to the edginess of this Victorian pad.

German Impressions II

 Let me go down in history as saying that German Christmas markets are much, much better than French Christmas markets. So when we went to Hamburg, Germany we made sure to go to one and also check out all the lovely Christmas decoration one (me) can buy (bought lots).

 Hmm, lots of German sweets...
