German Impressions X

I was lucky to visit Berlin again just a few short weeks after my last trip. This time we looked for traces of the Berlin wall (above and below), treated ourselves to a fancy hotel, admired the buildings of the city, and enjoyed the variety of shops and all they have on offer.

I like this stylish and well styled credenza and elegant sconce. The gold, beige and light blue wallpaper all go very well together.

Collecting stuff

Collecting stuff is fun and decorating it at home is even more fun (at least for those of us who read design blogs). What do you collect and how do you showcase it at home? Do you 'rotate' your stuff, displaying your latest acqusitions or favourites.

Four city gardens

Since the garden season has started and I live in a big city I am very interested in city gardens. How do you turn a few squarementers surrounded by buildings (and hence often with little sun light) into a lush paradise?The examples I post today all get the 'green thumb up'.

A very eclectic vintage kitchen-diner which I had saved in my files. I admire the boldness of mixing such different pieces together and create something cool yet cosy.

Pale Tale

When I recently asked you, read readers, which countries I should feature more a reader said: Scandinavia. Today I present a Swedish summer house to my liking. It has just the right mix of yellow and pink accent colours to keep it interesting. I am obessed with porches so this one is a big plus in my books.
