I have major flat envy! And the owners are part of the Danish label Day Birger et Mikkelsen Home which I love, too!. The flat is in a purpose built 1980s building in Copenhagen with no particular architectural features and yet they managed to create a bohemian yet modern atmosphere. I must warn you, the place is huge - 400 square meters. I´ll do a post on the Day Birger et Mikkelsen Home collection, soon.
Görvälns Slott near Stockholm is one of Sweden´s fairy tale château from the 1750´s. The fabulous rococo beds in the otherwise understated enviroment really do it for me. The original tile oven is wonderful, too.
I think my obsession with hotel design stems from the fact that in a hotel you can go much more over the top design wise and I tend to like things I would not necessarily use at home.
Believe it or not, this flat has little natural light and is only 39 square meters. The interior designer has done a great job lighting up the space and using a good mix of light and dark colours I love the doors in this flat and the mixture of mid century and older furniture.
I never thought that I would blog on European Chic about the football world cup in South Africa which is starting today but when saw the Robomow RL2000 I couldn´t resist. The Germans figured out how to combine their love for football, design and engeneering. How cool is this!
The study of Sara Stockbridge, a writer and former Vivenne Westwood muse, in Brixton, London. I especially like the black wall because it really makes the window pop and contrasts nicely with the wall full of artwork.
